Old Northwest Territory Art Exhibit collection, 1947-1951.

The scrapbook includes publicity materials from 1947 to 1951, during Lester Burbank Bridaham's tenure as Assistant Director and Public Relations Counsel for the exhibit. Assembled by Bridaham, the scrapbook contains press releases, numerous newspaper clippings, magazine articles, announcements of the competitions and instructions for entering, programs for events, and exhibit catalogs. Newspaper clippings are from all states whose residents were eligible to participate in the exhibition, though the largest concentration is from Illinois.
